Protesters, many wearing green shirts emblazoned with the names of key organizations such as G\u00e9n\u00e9rations Futures and Greenpeace, marched behind banners reading \u201cSTOP AUX TOXIQUES \u2013 TROP DE VICTIMES!\u201d and \u201cVotez contre la loi Duplomb.\u201d The demonstration drew a broad coalition, including agricultural unions, environmental associations, and collectives like CIWF France, all voicing concerns over the law\u2019s perceived threat to both public health and the future of farming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Farmers present at the rally expressed fears that the Duplomb Law would weaken restrictions on chemical pesticides, putting their livelihoods and the environment at risk. \u201cLe futur vous regarde\u201d (\u201cThe future is watching you\u201d) read one sign, highlighting generational anxiety. Speakers with megaphones denounced the law as a step backward for ecological transition, warning that it could accelerate pollinator decline and endanger rural communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As lawmakers prepare to debate the bill, demonstrators insist that meaningful agricultural reform must prioritize health, biodiversity, and sustainable livelihoods.
