Paris, July 9, 2025 (OLA NEWS) – France Insoumise held a press conference on Monday, July 7, at the movement’s headquarters. Present at the event, Manuel Bompard, Clémence Guetté, Sarah Legrain, and Arnaud Le Gall presented to the press the results of an internal vote on two texts, as well as the party’s upcoming plans.
Manuel Bompard, LFI’s coordinator, opened the conference by paying tribute to Olivier Marleix, LR deputy, who passed away earlier that day. “A political opponent but always respectful, with whom we enjoyed debating,” he said.
This conference marks the conclusion of the movement’s Representative Assembly process, which meets every six months to debate with all members. Launched on April 15, this session aimed to discuss two documents: the Call for Popular Unity and a roadmap outlining 16 objectives, including preparations for the municipal elections in March 2026. These texts were debated on June 21 before being submitted to an online vote on LFI’s “Action Populaire” platform. They were overwhelmingly approved: 96% for the first, 95% for the second.

France Insoumise also announced an internal reorganization, with four departures and seven arrivals within the Coordination of the movement’s spaces. The party then presented its summer activities, notably the popular caravans, where militants, deputies, and volunteers will meet residents to engage and help register them on electoral rolls. “Millions of people are incorrectly registered,” recalled Sarah Legrain, responsible for the operation.
In parallel, the summer universities will take place from August 21 to 24, featuring conferences, concerts, and plays around major social themes such as peace and the environment. New this year: an “Insoumise Night of Stars,” organized with professionals and enthusiasts from the astronomy sector, to discuss the challenges and stakes of this field. Despite the summer break, LFI intends to remain active on the ground.
